Our Coatings Are a Vital Part of Essential Service Supply Chains
The COVID-19 pandemic has required many companies to ramp-up production on critical equipment essential for saving lives. This includes our customer Enfield Technologies, a manufacturer of valves for ventilators. These machines provide mechanical ventilation by moving breathable air into and out of the lungs.
Aluminum parts within the ventilator system are coated with our Tufram L-4 to:
- Increase surface hardness
- Provide low COF between mating parts
- Reduce slip/stick action
- Increase overall part longevity
Four specific Tufram L-4 coated parts are integral to the low pressure, high flow proportional valve used inside the ventilator assembly. The valve provides precision flow control, enabling fast, accurate commands between the valve and microprocessor. Consistency of the coating is very important and ensures the valve operates efficiently. This coating solution illustrates our role in producing lifesaving devices that directly support public health and safety. We are a trusted source for our customers, and have continued to provide essential services and products during this crisis.
Our company has a long history of offering coating solutions that have played a critical role in diverse applications and projects. Some are crucial to everyday life, while others help solve downtime or productivity issues. Additionally, our coatings have been instrumental in keeping many aspects of transportation moving around the globe and have even contributed to space exploration.
Our employees take pride in their work and are excited to be part of such a diverse, solutions-driven company.
